I read the book Change Your Brain, Change Your Life by Daniel Amen a few months ago. Dr. Daniel Amen is a psychiatrist. He uses SPECT (single-photon emission computed tomography) imaging of the brain for his diagnostic purposes. His clinics (Amen clinics) try to heal the brain in a natural way when possible.

In this post, I focus on one aspect of the book: food.

As per Dr. Amen, one of the most important things one can do for one’s brain is to have the right kind of food. He has compiled a list of 50 foods that are very good for the brain.

See the list.

The recommendation is to eat small quantities of different brain foods (whichever is possible) and eat consistently.

Dr. Amen also recommends avoiding some foods that are bad for the brain. You can guess those intuitively. I don’t dare to mention it here.
